Sisterhood Events

Convention days are packed, from learning during education sessions to participating in Ritual and everything in between. Take some time at the end of each day to enjoy the society of your sisters.

General Sisterhood Activities

WELLNESS ACTIVITY: MOVEMENT CHALLENGE

Walk, run, roll, stroll, dance, etc. with sisters in the mornings, during downtime, between sessions or in the evenings. To participate, choose your movement, track your miles Friday through Sunday of convention and submit your miles each day on our convention app. You can get your miles in your own way – together with sisters or solo – but we’re all in this Movement Challenge together!

Let’s see how many miles we can move collectively. We’ll announce the top movers during Sunday evening’s Carnation Celebration.

CONVENTION CHOIR

It wouldn’t be an Alpha Chi Omega convention without music! We’re looking for attendees who want to join the convention choir and share their vocal talent as well as their love of Alpha Chi music.  Please email the volunteer  inbox to express interest in joining the convention choir.

PHILANTHROPY OPPORTUNITIES

As part of the excursion opportunities this year, you’ll have the chance to make an impact on the Indianapolis community by volunteering alongside sisters with a bracelet-making activity.

HopeAnchor & Crew’s mission is to “empower women to live full balanced lives while creating handmade philanthropic jewelry, shining light, and giving back to local and global causes in the community.” You will have the opportunity to create a special bracelet for a woman in the community and create a commemorative convention bracelet for yourself. This activity is an add-on to the convention experience and has limited spots, so be sure to grab yours during convention registration.

Throughout the weekend, Alpha Chi Omega will be collecting gift cards for two local domestic violence service providers, The Julian Center and Coburn Place. The Julian Center’s mission is to help victims of domestic violence and abuse become successful survivors. Coburn Place offers support and safe housing choices to survivors of domestic violence and specializes in fresh starts. Both organizations support survivors in the greater Indianapolis area.

As you are packing, please consider bringing a gift card to donate or adding a pit stop to your schedule to pick up a gift card while you are in town. Recipients of the gift cards are located in Indianapolis, so please ensure that you are purchasing cards for businesses in the area. We look forward to having you join your sisters in service during convention!

Gift cards urgently requested:
