Our national convention marks an important time for our voting delegates to make decisions regarding Alpha Chi Omega’s elected leadership and governing documents during our national chapter meetings.
WHAT IS A NATIONAL CHAPTER MEETING?
A national chapter meeting is Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity's business meeting that allows sisters from across the country to make decisions regarding Alpha Chi Omega's elected leadership and governing documents. In addition to being a time for our voting delegates to agree upon the direction of the Fraternity for the next biennium (and beyond!), the two national chapter meetings at this convention will give sisters the opportunity to connect and reenergize their bond to Alpha Chi Omega. From formal Ritual being shared by hundreds of sisters to ceremonial celebrations for members and chapters to hearing updates and accomplishments from Alpha Chi Omega's four entities, attendees will be inspired by the 134-year legacy they continue through their membership.
Each biennium at a national chapter meeting, voting delegates are responsible for electing our next group of governance leaders – the National Council – as well as voting on the National Nominating Committee and considering proposed amendments to the Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation of Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. and The Heritage of Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity.
All election-related documents are created in accordance with the Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation of Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. and the Policies of Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. You may find these documents posted on alphachiomega.org, within the Governing Documents section of the Resource Center; you will be prompted to log in to access them. Voting delegates should access this information to prepare for their responsibilities at convention.
The delegates information and additional details will be shared in March.
